IEEE Educational Activities expanded its TryEngineering OnCampus program to seven universities in 2024, funded by the IEEE Innovation Committee. New participating institutions include the University of Zagreb (Croatia), Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (Egypt), Majan University College (Oman), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia), and the Hellenic Robotics Center of Excellence at the National Technical University of Athens (Greece), while City University and St. Francis University in Hong Kong, and the University of Ioannina in Greece, participated for a second year. The two-day programs engaged approximately 245 students across all locations in hands-on activities covering AI, robotics, quantum computing, circuit design, and IoT technologies. Student feedback was positive, with nearly 75% of participants rating the program 4 or higher out of 5, and participants reported gaining technical skills and confidence in emerging technologies.
