Chuvashia Governor Oleg Nikolayev confirmed the attack resulted in three injuries, though independent Russian news outlet Astra identified the Progress plant as the target. This marks the second Ukrainian strike on the site, following a May 5 attack on its administrative building. Zelensky stated the strike was part of ongoing Ukrainian operations against Russian military facilities and the oil industry. The same day, Ukraine also reported hitting a Russian oil refinery in Samara and a shadow fleet tanker on the Black Sea.
