The Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar inaugurated a CCTV control room at N.P. Kunta police station in Kadiri division, emphasizing the role of surveillance technology in strengthening public safety and assisting law enforcement. The facility was established with support from Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Private Limited at a cost of ₹7 lakh and is connected to 22 surveillance cameras positioned at key junctions and public locations in N.P. Kunta mandal. The SP stated that CCTV systems are indispensable for effective policing, as they deter criminal activity and provide crucial evidence for investigators. He noted that the Kadiri subdivision already operates an integrated monitoring system linking nearly 180 cameras to a central command centre. The initiative was welcomed by Kadiri MLA Kandikunta Venkata Prasad, who characterized the surveillance infrastructure as dynamic and advanced, expected to significantly enhance public security across the district.
