South Korean Pizza Chain Pizza Maru Achieves Halal Certification in Singapore

Pizza Maru, a popular South Korean pizza chain, has officially obtained halal certification for all four of its Singapore outlets through the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS). The chain, which first opened in Singapore in 2017, is known for its Ban Ban (half-and-half) pizzas, pastas, Korean fried chicken, and snacks. To celebrate the certification, Pizza Maru is offering 50 percent off dine-in Ban Ban pizzas from June 25-27 and has introduced two new Ban Ban pizza varieties.
Pizza Maru, the largest Korean pizza chain in South Korea since its 2006 founding, has announced that all four of its Singapore outlets are now officially halal-certified by MUIS. The certification covers locations at Bugis+, Plaza Singapura, Changi Airport Terminal 2, and an express outlet at i12 Katong. To mark the occasion, the chain is launching two new Ban Ban pizzas: the Hawaiian Margherita Ban Ban Pizza with sweet potato mousse-stuffed crust and the Pepperoni Oppa Ban Ban Pizza with cheesy crust. From June 25-27, dine-in customers can enjoy 50 percent off all Ban Ban pizzas. Pizza Maru has expanded internationally since its Singapore debut in 2017 and now operates in multiple countries including China, Thailand, and the Philippines.
