One staff member was injured in the incident and is recuperating at home. Segun was last seen wearing a black jacket, black trousers, and black trainers, and is believed to have connections to Plumstead, Abbey Wood, and Woolwich. Metropolitan Police Detective Sergeant Claudine Manning stated that officers are working around the clock to locate and apprehend the escapee, with the public urged to contact police immediately via 999 if they spot him or have information about his whereabouts. Serco, which holds a prisoner escort and custody services contract with the Ministry of Justice across south England, confirmed it is investigating the matter.
