Primary Wave Music announced a partnership with the estate of legendary R&B and disco artist Donna Summer, who passed away in 2012. Under the agreement, Primary Wave will manage Summer's award-winning music catalog and recordings alongside her name, image, and likeness rights, leveraging the company's marketing team and publishing infrastructure. The partnership will focus on new marketing, branding, digital, and synchronization opportunities as well as film and television projects. Summer, who sold an estimated 100 million-plus albums worldwide, achieved numerous milestones including being the first female artist to record four Hot 100 No. 1 songs within a 13-month span. Her most influential work, "I Feel Love," famously inspired Brian Eno during David Bowie's "Low" sessions. Summer was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2025.
