Police Find No Grounds to Book Actor Lakshmipriya in Ansiba Hassan Complaint

An Assistant Commissioner of Police in Kochi has ruled that there are no grounds to register a case based on actor Ansiba Hassan's complaint against fellow actor Lakshmipriya and a female police officer. Hassan had accused Lakshmipriya of filing a false complaint and the officer of harassment and unlawful detention. Hassan has stated she will move to court to pursue her complaint.
The Thrikkakara Assistant Commissioner of Police submitted a report to the District Police Chief concluding that actor Ansiba Hassan's complaint against actor Lakshmipriya and sub-inspector Reshma lacks sufficient grounds for case registration. According to the ACP's preliminary investigation, which included witness statements and CCTV footage review, Lakshmipriya filed her original complaint against Hassan based on an ambiguous message that caused family troubles, while the police officer was merely performing her duty by calling Hassan to the station for verification. The ACP also determined that Lakshmipriya's complaint against Hassan does not merit FIR registration. Hassan, a former joint secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes, has responded by stating she will approach the court, claiming she was insulted during the police interaction and was forced to write an apology without retaining a copy. This development follows Hassan's separate complaint against actor Tini Tom for alleged communal and derogatory remarks.
