Open Mike Eagle and Kenny Segal are releasing a full-length collaborative album called 'Doomed!' on August 14 through Billy Woods' Backwoodz label. The two longtime friends and collaborators decided to build a complete project together after Kenny Segal made clear he wanted more than just one or two beats on Open Mike's projects. The album features 15 tracks including the lead single 'Unfinished Concrete Initials' featuring Hemlock Ernst (Samuel T. Herring of Future Islands), as well as appearances from Gothic Tropic and billy woods. Open Mike Eagle described Kenny's production style poetically, comparing each beat to 'a chunk of ore from a different comet' that he used as a canvas to paint impressions of a dead world. This release continues Open Mike Eagle's recent prolific output, as he has released an album every year for the past four years, with his most recent solo album 'Neighborhood Gods Unlimited' premiering in July 2025.
