A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 58-year-old woman who was allegedly kidnapped from Winston Hills in Sydney's north-west on June 8, 2026. The woman was reported missing on Tuesday after failing to return home; her vehicle was found on Dodson Street in Winston Hills the following morning. The man was apprehended Thursday in bushland near Nowra, 200 kilometres away, and the woman's body has not yet been located.
A 58-year-old woman disappeared on Monday, June 8, 2026, after telling family she was meeting a relative in Winston Hills. When she failed to return home, police began investigating on Tuesday and located her vehicle on Dodson Street in Winston Hills at 9:30am. On Thursday afternoon, detectives arrested a 33-year-old man seated in a white Toyota Hilux in bushland along Parnell Fire Trail near Tomerong, approximately 20 kilometres south of Nowra and 200 kilometres from the initial disappearance location. Police conducted a search warrant at a nearby address in Sanctuary Point. The man was taken to Nowra Police Station, charged with murder, and refused bail pending a bail court appearance on Friday. Investigations remain ongoing, and the woman's body has not yet been recovered.
