A 58-year-old woman disappeared on Monday, June 8, 2026, after telling family she was meeting a relative in Winston Hills. When she failed to return home, police began investigating on Tuesday and located her vehicle on Dodson Street in Winston Hills at 9:30am. On Thursday afternoon, detectives arrested a 33-year-old man seated in a white Toyota Hilux in bushland along Parnell Fire Trail near Tomerong, approximately 20 kilometres south of Nowra and 200 kilometres from the initial disappearance location. Police conducted a search warrant at a nearby address in Sanctuary Point. The man was taken to Nowra Police Station, charged with murder, and refused bail pending a bail court appearance on Friday. Investigations remain ongoing, and the woman's body has not yet been recovered.
