Holy Sai International School Launches Fittgen Sports Curriculum Program

1 source

Holy Sai International School has introduced Fittgen, a comprehensive fitness assessment programme developed in partnership with the fitness startup, to measure and track student athletic development. The program, which has been piloted over the past year, addresses a gap in structured sports curricula across Indian school boards by assessing students across eight parameters including balance, coordination, agility, and reflex. The initiative aims to make sports a measurable, integral part of holistic education while involving parents in student nutrition and progress tracking.

Holy Sai International School has partnered with Fittgen to implement a structured fitness programme for students in Classes 3 to 8, addressing what school leadership identifies as a lack of standardized sports curricula across Indian educational boards. The programme measures student progress across eight parameters including balance, hand-eye coordination, agility, and reflex through simple games, with assessments conducted at the beginning, middle, and end of the academic year. Coaches receive specialized training to conduct these assessments, and parents and teachers can access progress data through the platform. According to S. Prem Shankar, Chairman of Holy Sai Group of Institutions, the concept emerged from recognizing that sports curricula typically lack structure and measurable outcomes. The programme has been piloted at Santhome Higher Secondary School and is now being expanded, with plans to reach additional schools. The initiative also incorporates parental involvement in student nutrition planning tailored to individual needs.
