The group, led by youth district president Hemant Sharma, objected to what they considered the inappropriate use of a Hindu religious name for a non-vegetarian business. Police arrested three members and registered a case against 15-20 group members under sections related to rioting, property damage, criminal intimidation, and voluntarily causing hurt. The property owner stated losses of around Rs 20,000 and noted the chicken outlet was already scheduled to close before the Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage.
