Four Men Arrested for Abducting and Holding Gurugram Resident Hostage Over Dispute

Four men were arrested after abducting and holding a Gurugram resident, Chandan Pandey, hostage in Uttar Pradesh following an old dispute. Police rescued Pandey on June 6 after his wife filed a missing person complaint, and the accused were sent to judicial custody. The case involves allegations of drug use among the victim and accused, with the abduction reportedly stemming from a prior assault incident.
Police in Gurugram arrested four men—Abhilash (26), Happy (37), Tony (34), and Satendra (42)—for allegedly abducting and holding Chandan Pandey hostage over an old dispute. Pandey's wife filed a complaint on June 5 regarding his disappearance, and police rescued him from Satendra's house in Uttar Pradesh on the night of June 6. According to police interrogation, Pandey had allegedly assaulted Abhilash days earlier; in retaliation, all four accused allegedly assaulted Pandey on May 5 when he visited Abhilash's house, then abducted him and transported him to Uttar Pradesh using his own car. Police revealed that Pandey and three of the accused are allegedly drug users who knew each other through this connection. After two days of police remand, the four accused were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
