Police stopped a Hyundai hatchback at Chapel Hill Road on May 31 and discovered two handmade slingshots, two pocket-shot style devices, knuckle dusters, and metal balls identified as fishing sinkers. Three 19-year-old men and one 20-year-old were arrested and charged with assault and discharging a weapon in public, among other offences. Subsequent raids on homes in Redbank Plains and Forest Lake yielded additional evidence including drug utensils and marijuana. Three of the four men were granted bail, with court appearances scheduled for June 22 and 23.
