Bruce was reunited with his owners after spending about two hours in 8-degree Celsius water and has recovered well.

Bruce, a dog, was rescued from the North Sea after being blown away in an inflatable kayak near the Farne Islands off the coast of Northumberland, England. The dog's owner was kayaking when a sudden wind change caught them off-guard, separating the owner from the dog. After realizing he couldn't catch the kayak, the owner made the correct decision to call for help rather than continue swimming. Tour boat captain Jimmy Reid answered a coastguard call and located Bruce floating more than 4 kilometres offshore. The rescue was dramatic and dangerous: crew member Aaron lunged forward to grab the dog by the scruff as it disappeared beneath the water, nearly being pulled overboard himself before Reid grabbed his leg to keep him attached to the boat. Bruce had been floating for approximately two hours in water temperature of about 8 degrees Celsius and was severely hypothermic and exhausted when pulled aboard. After being wrapped in towels and cared for, Bruce recovered within 30 minutes and was reunited with his owners in good health.

Former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe cautioned Drake Maye about the intense pressure that follows a successful season, advising him to temper expectations after the Patriots nearly won the MVP and Super Bowl last year. Bledsoe, who was in a similar position at age 24 with New England before losing his starting job to Tom Brady, warned that high expectations can lead to unfair criticism. The advice comes as Maye heads into his third season facing a more challenging schedule than the Patriots' beneficial one from last year.
