A Delhi Police constable was arrested after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a Gurugram residential society on May 31, threatening her family members with rape and murder, and ramming the society gate with his SUV. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when the accused, reportedly intoxicated, entered the residential complex and attempted to force his way into the victim's home. A local court rejected his bail petition, and police have added charges under the POCSO Act after allegations that he also harassed the victim's 15-year-old sister.

A Delhi Police constable identified as Ronit Yadav was arrested following an incident in Sector 56, Gurugram, where he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend between 5 am and 6:30 am on May 31. According to the victim's complaint, Yadav entered the residential society in an intoxicated state, intercepted the woman, physically assaulted her, and threatened to kill her family members and rape her younger sister. When the woman's mother opened the door to the accused's repeated doorbell ringing, he attempted to force his way inside and threatened to kill her; he subsequently made rape and murder threats toward the victim's 15-year-old sister. CCTV footage from the society captured the accused entering the complex and the assault on the road, and he also rammed the society gate with his black Mahindra Thar SUV. The victim reported that she had previously filed a complaint against the accused in September 2025 but withdrew it after he allegedly threatened to circulate her private videos. Police initially registered charges under sections related to hurt, wrongful restraint, house trespass, criminal intimidation, and outraging a woman's modesty, and later added charges under the POCSO Act for sexual harassment of a child. A local court rejected the accused's bail application on Wednesday.
