Following a complaint filed at Mahalakshmi Layout Police Station, investigating officers filed a chargesheet. Judge S. Sujatha, after examining evidence and hearing witness testimonies, found the accused guilty and imposed fines totalling ₹10,000 alongside a compensation order of ₹2 lakh to the victim. The District Legal Services Authority was directed to facilitate the victim's compensation. Special Public Prosecutor P. Krishnaveli represented the prosecution in the case.
